Here is my latest "remix" of English Baroque Composer Henry Purcell's "Dido's Lament" from his opera "Dido & Aeneas" (Z. 626 Act III, Recitative: "Thy Hand Belinda" Aria: "When I am laid"). I used Vocaloid Oliver for the voice and since it is my first time using vocaloid, constructive criticism is much appreciated. Although much of the programming came from a MIDI file, I composed the realisation for the basso continuo myself.

lyrics

Libretto:
Recitative
Thy hand, Belinda, darkness shades me,
On thy bosom let me rest,
More I would, but Death invades me;
Death is now a welcome guest.
Aria
When I am laid, am laid in earth, May my wrongs create
No trouble, no trouble in thy breast;
Remember me, remember me, but ah! forget my fate.
Remember me, but ah! forget my fate.
